The balance of fit, weight, and power transfer is what makes a great shoe. Giro built their Trans with this goal in mind, and they've exceeded expectations. Easton's flat carbon soles provide the perfect perch for your feet and they give you a nearly direct connection to your pedals for maximum efficiency. The great fit comes courtesy of the ergonomic footbeds as well as the breathable microfiber uppers that feature an offset middle strap to prevent pressure points. Other nice touches include replaceable ratcheting top buckles, varying-width straps and an anti-microbial treatment on the footbeds.
In order to mount your pedals' cleats to your shoes, they must have matching bolt patterns. There are 3 configurations (diagram) used on cycling shoes, SPD-R, Look/SPD-SL and SPD. Road shoes feature one, two or even all three of these. Mountain-bike shoes usually use the SPD pattern. If you have any questions about cleat compatibility, please contact us. We're here to help!
